Manuka Honey  is created when honeybees gather the nectar of the Manuka  flower (Leptospermum Scoparium). The Manuka  flower is the blossom of the Manuka  Bush. The Manuka  Bush  can grow into a tree of up to 15 meters.

Manuka Honey  is a monofloral honey. This means that Manuka Honey  is only allowed to be labelled Manuka Honey  if most (at least 70%) of the honey  originates from the Manuka  flower.

The best quality Manuka Honey  comes from beehives that are placed amidst an abundance of Manuka  bushes in unspoilt nature of inhospitable areas in New Zealand. On these locations the honeybees hardly have another choice than gathering the nectar of the Manuka  flowers. The Manuka Honey  collected in these areas is the finest, purest, most natural Manuka Honey.
